The second round of the food blogging event They Go Really Well Together is hosted by Tara. TGRWT is about flavour pairing and ingredients that have to be combined this time are banana and parsley. This is my second try.

  • 75 gram plantain: cut in small pieces
  • 75 gram riceflour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 dl milk
  • salt
  • curly leaf parsley pieces
  • oil

Mix for the batter in a food processor plantain pieces, riceflour, egg, milk & salt. Heat the oil [to a depth of about 3 cm]. Dip the parsley pieces in the batter, drop them in the oil & fry them until browned. Drain the fried parsley pieces on paper towels. Serve immediately.

I wanted to make a picture but the batteries of my camera were empty. When they were loaded the parsley pieces were gone.

Wow! It's sad there aren't any pictures, because the idea is very interesting. How was the taste?

OK. A combination of two kinds of crispiness (warm & fresh). I Should have used a little bit more milk.
