Sinaasappel Chocolade Fudge met Noten

Naar een recept uit Chocolade Lekkernijen van Christine France:

  • 50 gram boter
  • zest van 1 sinaasappel
  • 1 blikje gecondenseerde melk (4 dl)
  • 250 gram suiker
  • 125 gram pure chocolade in kleine stukjes
  • 100 gram noten naar keuze

Smelt boter met zest op laag vuur. Laat zest in boter trekken. Verwijder zest na 1 uur. Voeg gecondenseerde melk en suiker toe. Breng mengsel aan het sudderen. Roer regelmatig. Haal pan van het vuur als mengsel dikker en bruin(er) wordt. Voeg chocolade en noten toe. Roer mengsel glad en romig. Giet mengsel in ingevette bakvorm. Laat fudge volledig uitharden. Snijdt fudge in blokjes. Bewaar blokjes fudge in afgesloten trommel op een koele plek.

In de fudge van Christine Francis zit vanille, in die van M. sinaasappel. De fudge van Christine Francis is gevuld met pistachenoten, die van M.met cashewnoten.
