Randy Bachman and Fred Turner

Randy Bachman and Fred Turner have joined forces again. They are in the studio in Winnipeg recording new songs and will be on the road in June and July. The band won't be named Bachman Turner Overdrive after the two other orignal members - - drummer Robbie Bachman and guitarist Blair Thornton - filed a lawsuit over the use of that name.

Live dates:
  • 06/07 London, UK @ The Relentless Garage
  • 06/12 Solvesborg, SE @ Sweden Rock Festival
  • 06/25 Kettering, OH @ Fraze Pavillion at Lincoln Park Centre
  • 06/26 Riverside, IA @ Riverside Casino and Golf Resort
  • 07/17 Nakusp, BC @ Nakusp Music Fest
  • 07/25 London, UK @ High Voltage Festival

Another tour has been postponed thanks to Icelandic volcano eruption. Batusis, the punk rock band formed by Sylvain Sylvain (New York Dolls) and Cheetah Chrome (Rocket From The Tombs/Dead Boys), won't be touring in the UK promoting their self-titled 4-Track EP. Frank Mauceri, the MD of Smog Veil Records:

"The volcanic ash in Europe has created havoc for live concert touring, especially in the UK. Sylvain and Cheetah were really looking forward to the UK dates; however, flight cancellations have made it impossible to get the band into the UK."

The EP will be released May 4th, featuring two instrumentals (a cover of Blues' Theme, and Big Cat Stomp, the tongue-in-cheek misogynistic What You Lack In Brains sung by Sylvain and the loud rocker Bury You Alive sung by Chrome.
