The Bird and The Bee

Hall & Oates released a slew of memorable singles for the Seventies onwards, making them a household name on mainstream radio. They are one of acts who were not cool, but you couldn't hate even if you tried.

LA duo The Bird and The Bee (singer Inara George and multi-instrumentalist/producer Greg Kurstin) show them respect by releasing Interpreting The Masters Volume 1: A tribute to Daryl Hall and John Oates, with eight landmark Hall & Oates songs, and one new original which sounds like a pastiche - the aptly named Heard It On The Radio. They stay pretty close to the original arrangements, but it is a treat to hear Inara George sing Maneater and Rich Girl, tongue-in-cheek and all that, but all in good fun.

Interpreting The Masters Volume 1: A tribute to Daryl Hall and John Oates is released on Blue Note Records. Release date: March 23rd.

Tracks:
  1. Heard It On The Radio
  2. I Can't Go For That
  3. Rich Girl
  4. Sarah Smile
  5. Kiss On My List
  6. Maneater
  7. She’s Gone
  8. Private Eyes
  9. One on One
