Lucky Soul: "White Russian Doll" video

London pop band Lucky Soul have made a video in Berlin for their new single White Russian Doll. The director is James Slater of Goodtimes Moving Images. The track is the first teaser/taster for the full length A Coming of Age, scheduled for a Spring release.

White Russian Doll and the b-side Crying in the Morning are released on Ruffa Lane Records. Get them on iTunes.

Speak & The Spells: She's Dead b/w Brianna

Speak & The Spells

Speak & The Spells bring back the garage to rock. No wonder that the London trio will be releasing two dirty rockers omn 45rpm piece of vinyl. She's Dead b/w Brianna is all about fuzzy surf guitar, spooky vocals and a rockabilly rhythm section that will wake the undead. Make no mistake, these guys will be on a 21st edition of Nuggets.

The single will be released on the 8th February on Robot Elephant. Also as a digital download for the vinyl challenged crowd.

Johnny Dowd: new album "Wake Up the Snakes"

The new Johnny Dowd album Wake Up the Snakes drops in March. He wil be touring in Europe in May.

We just completed our new record, “Wake Up the Snakes,” which will be released by Munich Records in Europe in March. I'm really happy with the album. It's got a kind of soul/garage vibe, a bit of a throwback to the music I grew up with. The band sounds fabulous. Mike Stark, farfisa; Matt Saccuccimorano, drums; Kim Sherwood-Caso, vocals and guitar (that's right, guitar, and she's killing it); and Willie B on yet another instrument, baritone guitar.

Shows in The Netherlands and the UK have been planned. Cities and venues to be announced shortly.
