Andy Sharrocks

Andy Sharrocks & The Smokin' Jackets are a Americana blues band from the UK with an eye on the past. Dirt is adequate titlle for their new album , a collection Vodka fueled songs carrying on the tradition of the Animals and John Mayall.

Andy Sharrocks has the twang and the snarl to get the the attention of his audience. All songs were written by Andy Sharrocks and guitar player Paul Green - stories about the road, love lost and death. The album sounds a bit flat at times, but it's obvious that they are dead serious. And by the way - the blues wasn't meant to be sounding nice and crisp.

Bottle Up & Go

Brooklyn duo Bottle Up & Go are into dirty blues rock. Keenan Mitchell and Fareed Sajan aim for the Black Keys niche with their new single Until the Day I Die. The vocals sound like they were recorded in a dingy basement on a tapedeck that was rescued from a moldy trash bin. Unique selling point: the wailing saxophone lines that are struggling to be heard above the din.
