Swedish singer-songwriter Montt Mardié goes the other way. He embraces The Pirate Bay, the worlds largest file-sharing site, writing a song called We're All The Pirate Bay and offering it as a free download.
It was made really fast and in a very
light-hearted spirit” but has nevertheless galvanised the heavy weight power
of the file sharing world into reaction, making this their 'Pirate Bay
anthem' and clocking up over 140,000 YouTube hits and over 50 remixes in
only four days.
He welcomes remixes and wants to share them: "re-mix,
re-make, re-seed, re-edit and re-enjoy”.
