Phish Summer Tour 2009: 05/31 Boston, 06/02 Wantagh; recording with Steve Lilywhite

Phish has added two shows to their Summer tour:

  • 05/31 Fenway Park, Boston
  • 06/02 Jones Beach Theater, Wantagh, NY

The band have been recording demos for their new studio album:

The group has already recorded demos of 20 new songs and entered the studio last week with Steve Lillywhite (U2, Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band) to begin work on Phish's first new studio album in five years. Lillywhite produced Phish's 1996 album, Billy Breathes.

Voice Of Addiction: Re-evolution

Chicago trio Voice Of Addiction is a band that gives a fuck. Their EP Re-evolution is about unhip subjects like Broken Homes and Broken Bones and the CIA The Walls.

If you want people to listen to politically charged lyrics, you better use a rhythm that makes they wantna dance pumping their fists in the air. Enter The Clash inspired punk ska and you are half way there. Too bad that singer is Ian Tomele no match for the lamented Joe Strummer. Kudos for trying so hard, though.
