zZz

Holland coolest band right now? zZz are serious contenders with their synth dance rock invoking New Order in a happy mood. The second full length Running with the Beast by the Amsterdam duo proves that you create infectious grooves with only drums and organ (and lots of electic gizos an some programming). It's a rumbling record that will turn a dull party into a memorable experience, a sonic drug that explodes between your ears. It's that good.

YouTube banned the video for the title track, getting the band some well deserved free publicity, but with tracks like Grip, Loverboy (with a cheesy organ and falsetto) and Spoil The Party (think Echo and the Bunnymen sans guitars) Running with the Beast will be tough album to top with their next release.

Daan Schinke: organ
Björn Ottenheim: drums & vocals
