Weatherground: Weatherground

Weatherground

With slightly muffled vocals resting on dense layers of elongated notes LA band Weatherground is a "college radio" outfit. Their self-titled album has a bit of the Flaming Lips and its Radiohead bass lines (their bass player goes by the name Cassidy Colin Greenwood, and that's official) will baffle cheerleaders and other middle-of-the-road music lovers. For those who haven't been musically lobotomized this album offers a little over 40 minutes worth of echo-y tunes that will make you want to wear black and sunglasses. Bittersweet ear candy.

Weatherground:
Tommy Contreras: drums
Cassidy Colin Greenwood: bass
David "BB" Lee: keyboards
Jaewon Choe: vocals

Weatherground is a self-released album.

Tracks:
  1. Transmission (Shine)
  2. Life At Right Angles
  3. Question
  4. Blood In The Water
  5. Embrace
  6. Apology
  7. Gift
  8. Truth And Light
  9. Wasteland (Mushroom Song 3)

Weatherground rocks. Have you listened to their album? Anyone who decides that this music is fit for cheerleaders must have been musically lobotomized themselves. Have you listened to the Flaming Lips? Have you heard Radiohead? That's weird that you compare them to a cross of the two, maybe you could try washing the semen out of your ears before listening to, and then slandering and album.

Cassidy doesn't go by Cassidy Colin Greenwood, by the way. That's not official. He goes strictly by Cassidy, a fact that is completely irrelevant to a music review, but worth correcting.

Weatherground and wearing black and sunglasses? What does that even mean? Does that mean that wearing black is bad? Does that mean that sunglasses are uncool? You should be more specific in your insults, because I am really unclear as to what you were meaning to insult. Have you seen The Beatles, the Ramones, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan? They tended to wear black and sunglasses, are they not "cool" enough for your tastes? I think you are a douche bag.

Marissa, Evan. Brush up on your reading abilities. It's a positive review. Those Yanks, eh. Can't listen, can't read.
