Steve Dannemiller and Joachim Hero, the two musicians that make up New Haven, CT band Brael, have successfully sidestepped the pitfalls of electronic downtempo music. While a lot of the output in that field wanders off into excessive noodling and overindulgence in pre-programmed effects, their full-length album is a varied collection of avant experimental music that will make your speakers hum with satisfaction.
With sounds that may remind you of the Floyd's Atom Heart Mother and Sigur Rós , this is an album that will put you into Zen mode without the hassle of taking yoga classes.
