Let the rumors begin. Phish has to practice before the shows in Hampton. Will they play at The Bowery, New York, NY 2008-12-31? A major Phish freak apparently has some inside info through the band's archivist Kevin Shapiro:

Mike's band + Trey's band.
Invite only.

This would mean that Patti Smith won't be playing there on NYE, breaking a long standing tradition.

I'll be @ Gov't Mule in NY on NYE, and I'm not enough of a Phish fan (at all, really) to care, but it's not out of the question that Patti might have plans w/ The Black Crowes on NYE.
