Straightforward rock, that's Liquor Boxx, a Chicago foursome who have on the road for more than a year, plugging their self-released album To The Face. Nothing fancy, just the kind of band that will go down as easy as an ice cold beer at a no-frills festival.

All the usual suspects (Hendrix, Phish, Cream, Led Zep, RHCP) are named by the band as their influences, but not much jamming is involved. They play a lot of bikers' gatherings, and those crowds are not known for showing much tolerance for free-flowing advanced music.

Liquor Boxx:
Kevin Mace: vocals
Patrick Creedon: lead guitar
Martin Farrelly: bass
Johnny "Drama" Stoneking: drums

Live dates:
  • 09/20 Smith's Olde Bar, Atlanta Ga Atlantis Music Conference
