His new album Arena drops September 29th on Cooking Vinyl (September 30th in the USA on Hi-Fi Recordings). The Arena Tour band will consist of Jesse Gress (guitar), Rachel Haden (bass), Kasim Sulton (guitar, keyboards vocals), Prairie Prince (drums), and Todd Rundgren (guitar and vocals).

Recently booked a Dad and son excursion to the Norwich gig in November followed by London Forum the following night with family and friends...what a weekend to look forward to. Loving the material from Arena. If this doesn't give TR a well deserved hit I shall streak over the wobbly bridge!

This is a great photo! I heard 'Strike' off the new record on Planet Rock radio the other day - best Todd track i've heard in years. Rumours are the rest of 'Arena' is also pretty rockin'. Can't wait till the 29th and then for the UK dates in November!

With 2004's Liars, Todd proved he was a genius. With the New Cars, he suffered car sickness in a crash car episode of Car 54 Where Are You. With "Arena" he has excelled himself. What and album. The album is worth it's weight in gold. "Strike" and "Mountaintop" - new anthems for the credit card generation. "Strike while the iron is hot." Always the Wizard, but very very rarely a New Car. Welcome back Rundgran Man, welcome back!

That "Strike" track on Todd's Myspace page is unreal. Good to see Kasim joining the next leg of the US tour. Is it true that Ric Ocasek will be the support act on the second leg of TR's American tour?

Liars was a hard album to follow up but Todd has surpassed it with flying colours. Arena is an amazing album, can't wait till Todd & the band hit the UK
