Lex Land: Orange Days On Lemon Street

Lex Land (c) Jenna LeMieux

Lex Land is a singer from Los Angeles with a penchant for the past. Don't be surprised when she adds forties back up vocals in one song and a screaming seventies guitar in another. At 21 she is well versed in musical archaeology, using it as the backdrop for her voice that hints at Judy Garland, Rickie Lee Jones, Karin Bergquist and Maria McKee.

Her debut album Orange Days On Lemon Street is like the musical version of Le déjeuner sur l'herbe. Great food and drink for your ears.

She has a hellofa style. A very unique way about her own self. I was blown away by her... but moreover by her musical background.
