Exquisite is the right word to capture the feel of Landscape and People, an all instrumental acoustic guitar album by Nick Schillace. Based in Detroit, Schillace is very much his own man. He has studied the classic pickers of American acoustic music, building his compositions on tradition and finding new ways to let his six strings tell stories. Besides his solo work Schillace also performs in the post-rock duo indoorpark, and in funk outfit The Odu Afrobeat Orchestra.
Landscape and People is the kind of album you want to hear on a glorious morning, when the rest of the world has had the courtesy to shut up for once. It is released on Burly Time Records.
