Tokyo Police Club: Elephant Shell

For some reason Canadian band Tokyo Police Club has been getting tons of music bloggers love. Which is odd, because their forthcoming album Elephant Shell is just another indie rock record and a mediocre one to put it politely.

Singer Dave Monks tries to channel the whine and bravado of Ian "can't be bothered about anything" Gallagher. No wonder his "girlfriend traded him for a love song". Don't put this on when you go on a long drive. You might end being asleep at the wheel.

Elephant Shell is released on Saddle Creek Records. Release date: April 22.
