Justin Nozuka is at a crossroads. His songs could go left to the folk scene or right to soul. Changes are that he will choose neither and follow his own path. His debut album Holly will go down well with Jeff Buckley aficionados. Nozuka's falsetto hasn't reached the depth of that much lamented singer yet, but he is only 19. He has been making waves in his adopted homeland Canada - he was born in NYC - and now he wants more. Give the kid a change and check him out.
Holly is released in the USA April 15 on Glassnote Records.
