You have six musicians and very, very little time before your first live appearance. Cram everything in two marathon practice session and hit the MerleFest stage. Sextet The Belle Outfit did exactly and stunned the audience. Their debut album hits the shelves of your trusty record store February 5. Wanderin' is a great collection of jazzy tinged Americana - imagine dipping an Over The Rhine album in a country sauce and stirring it with the bow of a fiddle.

Naming your group after a Django Reinhardt song sets the standard very high and The Belleville Outfit live up to the expectations. Wanderin' is an album full of bravado. It's the sheer joy of a sextet playing together with a tightness like they have been in a band together for years.

We love these guys and follow them as much as we can. They are phenomenal and love what they're doing. All of them are super special people with talent that will blow you away. If they're in your area, do yourself a favor and go listen in person.
