Carbon Silicon

Glide Magazine sat down with Mick Jones and had a nice chat about Carbon Silicon and, you guessed it, The Clash.

Carbon Silicon pioneered posting free MP3s on the net and they are still at. So why release a CD? Mick Jones explains why they decided to put out The Last Post:

Yes, because people said they loved what we were doing, but they wanted a proper record out. It's grown organically, really. We just responded to what the fans wanted. If a fan is really into something, they'll want to get everything of it.

Willits + Sakamoto: Ocean Fire

Ocean Fire is a celebration of the oceans, but it also a warning against pollution. The seven tracks flow and crash like mighty waves. Sakamoto supplied his signature processed piano sound and Willits came up with the treated guitar. Your neighbours may not like it, but who cares. They just need it expand their musical taste.

Tracks:
  1. Toward Water
  2. Umi
  3. Sea Plains
  4. Sentience
  5. Chi-Yu
  6. Cold Heat
  7. Ocean Sky Remains

Ocean Fire is released on 12k records. Release date: February 12.
