Suzy Bogguss

Some of your friends suffer from a middle-of-the-road music taste. They just can handle your latest indie jam band crossover discovery which sounds like a Sonic Youth third gen audience tape or worse to their ears anyway. Being a good host you go through your stack of recent arrivals and come across Sweet Danger, a soft spoken laidback album by Nashville singer Suzy Bogguss. And your friends go: "hey, that's nice". It is is well balanced record and you can put it on repeat without people noticing it. It's not muzak, but it comes close. One for the Starbucks crowd discussing the latest developments in their favorite sitcoms.

For the cover freaks: her take on Chicago's If Your Leave Me Now ain't half bad.

Suzy Bogguss: Sweet Danger

Sweet Danger is released on her own Loyal Duchess Records. You can buy at her website.
