John Cale

ABC Brisbane interviewed John Cale on their Conversation Hour. About playing live:

I don't view audiences as amoeba in a petri dish, that you can just sort of nudge around and play with. It's more like - it's a combination of what the audience wants and what you can give them. You've really got to bring them with you. It's really great when you do a song that everybody knows but they don't recognise it because the arrangement is so different and then it dawns on everybody and it becomes something else entirely.

Plastiscines

Eh bien, some French pop music for a change. The Plastiscines are an all female quartet from Paris, playing joyous sounding garage rock ditties telling men to go fuck themselves. They namecheck The Ramones, The Cramps and Blondie as their influences and race through 13 songs on their debut album LP1 in less than 27 minutes. If this record does not cheer you up, you need some serious help.

Plastiscines:
Katty: vocals/guitar
Marine: guitar
Louise: bass
Caroline: drums

LP1 is distributed through Caroline Records.
