Laurie Levine: Unspoken

Laurie Levine

Laurie Levine, a singer/songwriter from Johannesburg (South Africa), is on eof those artists that operate below radar. Her album Unspoken was released last year and has making the rounds among the cognoscenti. She has a voice which hovers between the phrasing of Nathalie Imbruglia and Heather Nova, albeit with a lot more power. Laurie Levine sings with barely controlled anger about the eternal battle of the sexes. If you had enough of the likes of Tori Amos and get bored to tears by the latest Joni Mitchell album, give Unspoken a try. You won't be a disappointed.

It is tough attempting to total the time we\'ve invested looking up guitar research.
