Tejas Singh

Tejas Singh is a singer/songwriter from New York. His mini album A Brief History is a gem waiting to be found. Great guitar work, original bass lines. Tejas Singh names Dave Matthews as one of his influences, but it's quite clear that he has listened a lot to the guitar playing of Trey Anastasio. Backed by a tight band, Tejas Singh should be quite capable to cut loose, stretch out the songs and jam extensively.

Tejas Singh: A Brief History Tracks:
  1. My Advance
  2. A Brief History
  3. The Rescue
  4. Ghosts
  5. A Life Of Crime
  6. The Rescue (Reprise)

The players:
Tejas Singh: acoustic guitar, vocals, electric guitar
James Lewis: electric guitar
Sydney Driver: drums
David Holder: bass
Zach Diaz: piano

A Brief History is released through Nice Rip Media. Buy it at CDBaby or iTunes.

Absynthe Minded

So what's up in Belgium? Any bands worth listening too? Yup. Try Absynthe Minded. Their songs have a lot more focus than their band name suggests. Even if they mix play a music of thirties jazz, with a touch of funky soul, Balkan beats and Merseyside pop.

Tour dates:
  • 09/22 CC Mechelen, Mechelen, Belgium
  • 10/01 De Brakke Grond, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
  • 10/18 013, Tilburg, The Netherlands

Watch Absynthe Minded live at the Melkweg, Amsterdam, April 19, 2007.
