The Polyphonic Spree: The Fragile Army

The Polyphonic Spree is a unique band with 20 members, most of them in the choir section. Singer and keyboard player Tim DeLaughter dreamed up a choral symphonic rock band and lo and behold: it works. The Fragile Army takes you back to the seventies when big sounds made it big. DeLaughter isn't much of a singer, think of Peter Gabriel suffering from a nasty cold, but combined with the lush arrangements The Fragile Army is an over-the-top album made by an expanded A-Team. A bit of advice from the band: "for an optimum listening experience, please load the album into your digital media player as 1 complete track."

The limited edition comes with a DVD containing a making of documentary Raise Your Ears and Hold on To Your Heart and the video for the title track.

The Fragile Army is released on Good Records Recordings (USA) and Gut Recordings (UK).
