No Fixed Abode

If this review was a story it would go something like this:

After a long day in the country you enter a pub that advertises live music. And when you are nursing your first pint a folk duo is setting up on the small stage. They are No Fixed Abode, with Una Walsh handling the vocals and Tony Dean on acoustic guitar. "Hi", she goes. "We are No Fixed Abode. We come from nowhere and elsewhere. Our first song for this evening is called What Did I Do."

No Fixed Abode: Clearwater

In real life No Fixed Abode is indeed a folk duo, who enlisted a couple of friends to help out on their self released Clearwater album. It sounds like a lost gem from the heyday of Irish and British folk. Una Walsh has the vintage lilting tone, Tony Dean strums with ease and confidence. The CD sounds fresh and clear, allowing space for each instrument to shine.

No Fixed Abode is currently on tour in the UK.
