Swati

Swati is a singer/songwriter with Indian roots from New York who takes on the world with 12 string guitar heavy laden collection of songs called Small Gods. Most of the material is pretty laid back, but she is not afraid to explore the feedback and electronica niches of post rock. Her songs sounds familiar and different at the same time. India meets indie. Nothing wrong with a bit of mystery in modern music. She might as well become the Joni Mitchell for the 00ties.

Small Gods is released on the bluhammock music label.

Dear Swati: I subscribe to Paste Magazine of the arts and music. This month's issue
had a track"Two o'clock in the a.m." which just knocked me out right with the very
1st bass note. You sound a bit like Lucinda Williams, but perhaps less wild and a more
pleasant singing voice.I'm 63 and have never quite heard a song like this one.Is the
rest of the CD similar? When I first heard this track,I thought that the bass end was
overmodulated just a bit.Was it?
Best Wishes for a successful CD. Sincerely,Tom e-mail: lydia48310@yahoo.com
