Eric Clapton has some details about the forthcoming second edition of the Crossroads Guitar Festival:

Eric Clapton has announced the details of his second Crossroads Guitar Festival. The 2007 edition will be held July 28th in Bridgeview, Illinois, just outside Chicago, and it will feature many of Clapton's friends, including Steve Winwood, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, and Jimmie Vaughan. The one-day event, which will get underway at noon, will also feature performances by Clapton band members Derek Trucks and Doyle Bramhall II. Clapton said, "The Crossroads Festival is the realization of a dream for me, to gather a group of amazingly talented musicians to perform on one stage. The Crossroads performers are all musicians I admire and respect."

EC Access Tickets thru Ticketmaster is not working as promised. I have been trying since they went on sale at 9 am Chicago time and I keep getting "no tickets available". About 30 times now. This bites.

What's up with the standing room only? Stadium seats were $1,000 and field is $90? Hope there's some seating available on the field for what is sure to be a hot sunny day.

You should invite Chicago's fastest rising Guitar God, Jake Cinninger, to this shindig.

The $1000 price was a TicketMaster error. I have seats and paid $90 each.

We tried online and by calliang Ticketmaster. Took 45 minutes to get thru to Ticketmaster on the phone. Kept getting "all circuits busy". Even from a land line. Ticketmaster sucks. If they can't handle the volume they shouldn't even be offering.

I tried three different Ticketmaster phone numbers thinking the "all circuits busy" was an error. I agree with LM if they can't handle the volume then they shouldn't be offering. I wasn't able to be online at 10:00 and probably wouldn't have continued through the payment process if it was listed as 1000.00.

Get your act together Ticketmaster.

I bypassed the $1006 tickets thinking 8 would cost over $8K. Clapton is great but 8K for a chance to bake in the Chicago summer is a bit much. I opted for standing room apparently at the same $90 price. Paul Allen should offer a "free" concert with seating to everyone who took part is this mess.

I was on the Ticketmaster site the SECOND tickets went on sale... NONE LEFT. So, how is it that ticket brokers all over the place have oodles of tickets for sale (some more than 100) for THREE times (and upwards!) the ticket price??

NOT FAIR!!!
