Oreskaband: ska made in Japan

Oreskaband

The Oreskaband, a Japanese sextet, decided that it would be cool to play ska. Hell, they even convinced trombone player Rico Rodriguez to join them on the classic Monkey Man on the tribute session album "Japan-Rico = Rico Rodriguez Meets Japan". After getting pretty good reviews in their home country the band crosses the big pond for a couple of shows in the USA at the SXSW festival and a few club dates. Their label Terry Dollar Records is flogging a six track promo CD. Well, it's something else for sure. Production wise I would advise the girls to turn things up a few notches.

The Oreskaband:
Ikasu: Guitar & Vocal
Tomi: Bass & Vocal
Tae-San: Drums
Saki: Trumpet
Moriko: Sax
Leader: Trombone

MP3: Oreskaband - Knife & Fork
MP3: Oreskaband - Monkeyman
