Jimmy Page

If you want to play Stairway to Heaven like Jimmy Page, here's your change. All you have to do is buy a replica of the double neck SG. O, and you need talent too, sorry.

A new signature instrument from Gibson and Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page will be released this week. The guitar is based on the double neck SG that Page can be seen using in the Zeppelin movie The Song Remains The Same (avoid! I mean it - HW). Page let Gibson analyze his original guitar, and there are two versions of the Jimmy Page Reissue Double Neck -- one called the "Vintage Original Spec," which is limited to 250 instruments, and the "Aged" edition, which is an exact replica of Page's guitar.

Still looking for a reason to go to Austin?

The 50th anniversary of Stax Records along with the label's re-activation-in-full will be celebrated at the South by Southwest (SXSW) music conference with a live reunion of some of Stax's biggest stars. Booker T & the MGs (featuring Steve Cropper and Duck Dunn), William Bell, Eddie Floyd and surprise guests will unite for a 90-minute set scheduled to take place Thursday, March 15, 7:30--9:00 p.m., at Austin's legendary Anton'es nightclub, 213 W. 5th St. in Austin. Admission will be open to all SXSW badge and wristband holders.
