Would you pay $1000 to see Warren Haynes, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Bob Weir and Mike Gordon share a stage? You would? Even if the line-up also includes Richard Gere strolling on and saying a few words?

John Lennon

The spooks com forward with the final words. Or so they say:

The FBI has released the final documents pertaining to its early '70s surveillance of John Lennon. The Associated Press reported that the last ten pages of documents include a surveillance report which states that two "British leftists" were hoping to secure financing from Lennon to start a "a left-wing bookshop and reading room in London," but that the bureau had "no certain proof" that Lennon had supplied the leftists with any money.

Linfinity

Dylan Von Wagner, the big man behind Linfinity, a NYC project, mailed me yet another MP3. From his forthcoming album A Manual For Free Living Volume I: Sedition:

I'm prisoner of a dying clan
The only way out is a Mercedes Benz
Have to find the keys
To the AMG
If this world be kind it’ s gonna set me free

Brian Wilson

A camp that doesn't suck? Be good, you little brat, and you might end up here:

Rock icons Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead and Paul Stanley of Kiss will train aspiring rock stars at Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp in Hollywood next year.
For five days (February 15-19), these and other celebrity musicians will instruct participants for 12 hours each day, share meals with them and offer tips and jamming techniques.
The camp will culminate in a Battle of the Bands competition that will be open to the public and held at the House of Blues on Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.
Scott Ian of Anthrax and Poison’s Bret Michaels will also lend their talents to the proceedings, instructing participants from all walks of life how to wield a whammy bar and hit high notes.

The White Stripes

The whole music blogging world is writing about the Sufjan Stevens Xmas box thingy. Well, that's cool. But let's not forget that there are a whole lot of better songs out there. Todays pick: The White Stripes with their 2002 single Candy Cane Children.
