U2 in 3-D concert film next year

Spooky idea. Now you can almost touch the hand of God ... erhmm ... Bono.

U2 plans to release its first 3-D concert film next year, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The movie, which will comprise footage from the group's visit to seven South American cities on its Vertigo world tour, is tentatively slated to premiere in mid-to-late 2007. The band might promote its release by participating in the first 3-D live performance projected in theatres around the country.
