You know what a rider is, don't you? A document with lots of techie stuff to make live easier for the band to perform. And maybe some other related topics like what the drummer wants on his between sets sandwich. The Smoking gun has posted an 18 page rider for Iggy and The Stooges. Fucking hilarious, and no mention of M&Ms ...

2 X HEAVY DUTY STRAIGHT CYMBAL STANDS. But we are equal opportunity employers, so gay stands may apply also. (They won't get the fucking job, though...)

We had a lightning designer once but he went mad so we shot him. It was the kindest thing. Now he's a light of a different kind, one of God's little Gobos in Dimmer Heaven.

Jim White's Chevy

Finally got around to purchasing the DVD of this brilliant documentary:

SEARCHING FOR THE WRONG-EYED JESUS is a captivating and compelling road trip through the creative spirit of the South featuring 'Alt Country' singer Jim White and his beaten-up Chevy Impala drifting past churches, trailer parks, prisons, truck stops, biker bars and coalmines to a superb musical soundtrack. Jim's roadside encounters with musical mavericks like the Handsome Family, Johnny Dowd, David Eugene Edwards, ex-New York Doll David Johansen and Melissa Swingle add to the atmosphere with their live performances. Plus there's old time banjo player Lee Sexton; rockabilly mountain gospel choirs and novelist Harry Crews telling grisly stories down a dirt track.

More good news about Jim White. He told me last night after the Hellwood show in Amsterdam that there will be a new album in march.
