Syd Barrett

Shit! No more Syd! He passed away on july 7. Shine on you crazy diamond ...

Syd Barrett, who founded Pink Floyd but later lived as a recluse, has died at the age of 60, according to a spokeswoman for the band. A spokeswoman for Pink Floyd told the Press Association: "He died very peacefully a couple of days ago. There will be a private family funeral."

Haynes and Holloway
After spending the first part of the summer touring with the Allman Brothers Band, Warren Haynes shifted into Gov't Mule gear for yet another outing over the weekend. On Sunday, the rock-quartet performed at Weert, Holland's Bospop Festival. During "Blind Man In The Dark," the group invited out longtime ABB/Mule collaborator Ron Holloway on saxophone.
