Pete Townshend talks to Relix about the new releases by The Who:
A new Who album is scheduled for release in September,
but I have decided on a June European release for The Glass Household,
a condensed version of a mini-opera of the same name based on my novella,
The Boy Who Heard Music. In the excerpted form, the mini-opera is
six songs that run to just over 11 minutes; in its complete form, it's about
ten songs running to about 30 minutes of music, which will form the backbone
of the new Who album. Roger and I both sing on it. Pino Palladino has been
playing bass, with Zak Starkey on drums, John "Rabbit" Bundrick
on Hammond organ. On the mini-opera, Peter Huntington, who plays with Rachel
Fuller, plays drums because Zak is finishing up touring with Oasis.
