Amfibian: new cd coming soon

The - as yet untitled - new album by Amfibian is finished, with a cool new line-up:

The new line up includes the return of Anthony Krizan, former guitarist for Spin Doctors and with Noel Redding (Jimi H.'s bassist) and writing collaborator with Lenny Karvitz and Chris Metaxas on keyboards and percussion, along with new-comers Todd Lanka and John Hummel on bass and drums.

Yes, Tom Marshall is still the main man in this outfit. Listen to a few tracks from the album here:

Kinks reunion?

Ray Davies in a BBC Radio 4 interview:

It's finding a voice after spending most of my life in a band called The Kinks, a wonderful band, I love all the work I've done with them, I hope to do more one day, who knows. I love all the work I've done with them, I hope to do more one day. I'm not sure, but I did have to find a voice because of being part of that machinery, the technology, the sound, I was part of the sound.

Zappa plays Zappa in New York?

A rumor posted on the Kill Ugly Radio blog:

Rumor has it (from a very good source) that the Zappa plays Zappa show will debut in the US 4/21 at The Beacon Theatre in NYC. DZ and Napi are on the list for the Jammy’s show 4/20 at MSG Theatre and I know there are a lot of artists playing all over the city prior to and after the Jammy’s.
