Metallica begin rehearsals for their next album

Metallica
Metallica were due to begin rehearsals for their ninth studio album sometime this week, according to an interview with drummer Lars Ulrich in Danish newspaper B.T.. Ulrich, a native of Denmark, flew back to the San Francisco area from New York on Tuesday (November 29th), after which the band was to commence working. He said about the project, "I wouldn't say that I have a plan or an idea of where we're headed, but to kick start Metallica once again makes me happy like a kid."

Trey Anastasio: "fan" throws a beer

So this moron offered Trey Anastasio a beer at the Warfield Theatre ...

So right after the first verse (I think), someone tossed a cup and hit Trey. He kept playing right through the song.

After swearing profusely, he continued the set with Loving Cup.

Words about music (82): Tony Conrad

What I had learned first about John Cale was that he had written a piece which pushed a piano down a mine shaft.
