The Who: live Tommy and Quadrophenia on DVD

Yet another release which might make your Christmas wish list:

On November 8th, the Who will be releasing a three-DVD set of their live performances of their Tommy and Quadrophenia rock operas, from 1989 and 1996, respectively.
Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend are meeting up next February to map out plans for the Who's first new studio album since 1982's It's Hard.

Street 13 in Berlin is to be named after Frank Zappa:

Die bisherige namenlose Straße 13 in Höhe Landsberger Allee soll nach der US-Rocklegende Frank Zappa (1940-1993) benannt werden. Diesen Beschluß faßten die Bezirksverordneten. Orwo-Haus-Verein-Sprecher Tobias Nöthen sagte: "Das ist genau das richtige Signal für unser Musikzentrum."
