Somali refugee seen at the UNHCR registration centre in Dadaab. It can take six months before a newly arrived refugee gets acknowledged as a refugee, and is allowed into the support programme. Kenya is now hosting over 150,000 refugees from Somalia. After the power seize of the Union of Islamic Courts in February 2006 the number has risen by 32,000.
