This Saturday I was offered a rose. Not by my beautiful girlfriend, but by a lady (in red) at the entrance of my favourite shopping mall in Nairobi: the Sarit Centre. Just went there for my usual Saturday morning coffee drive at Dormans'. 'Please sir,' she said with a wide nice smile. Her shirt was printed with UCHUMI, and there was the reason for this unexpected favour. The Uchumi is the national super market chain in Kenya.
