WFP director Morris warns for food tragedy in Kenya
James Morris just returned from an 11-day-trip through East Africa and Kenya. 3.5 million people in Kenya remain in dire need of food assistance, due to the prolonged drought. In order to feed the people WFP needs hundreds of million of US Dollars from the donors. 'If it doesn't come fast we are facing a very serious situation,' Morris said, referring to a massive famine in Kenya. Morris complimented the Kenyan government for the efforts towards the relief operations.
