This August I reported on famine in central Kenya.

The drought remained that severe that also people in the upper North of the country face serious food shortages during Christmas. Now even camels are dying of thirst.

Went to the spanking news Panari Sky Centre along Mombasa Road in Nairobi.

It's unbelievable, it's the kind of architecture you'll find in Dubai.

Enjoy the lobby.

It's almostl like the view from a luxurious lodge in Masai Mara. You're in fact overlooking Nairobi National Park from here.

Now to the ice-skating rink. The promised 15,000 square feet seems a bit exaggerated... From my estimation it's 1,500 square feet at the most. This picture was take while maintaining the ice.

At least it's a really cooling experience, outside its around 30 degrees Celsius.
