Last Sunday a spanking new ice skating rink in Nairobi - Kenya was officially opened. It's 15,000 square feet, and it's located on the second floor in the Panari Sky Centre on Mombasa Road. Outside now in Nairobi it's around thirty degrees Celsius. Imagine what a power consumption the skating rink must have.

The rink, located on the second floor of the Panari Centre, is 15,000 square feet with an alpine ambience, snow paintings on the wall and sophisticated lighting. The rink has the capacity to accommodate over 200 skaters at a go. The visitors will be provided with skates and trainers will be available for beginners. The ice-skating is bound to be a popular pastime especially with the expatriates who come from Europe. Guests get to enjoy both the ice-skating and the warmth of the tropical African sun, courtesy of the Panari Sky Centre.
