Nairobi, Eastleigh, fresh loads of mira are dispatched to a hilarious crowd. Mira, the popular name for the soft drug qat is used in large parts of the East coast of Africa. Chewing the twigs (or leaves) makes you forget hunger, or anything else that could make you worry. The mira must be very fresh for consumption, making the vehicles transporting a security hazard in traffic.

The government is still demolishing thousands of nformal structures, the 'kiosks', along the main roads. 10,000's were brought down now, leaving the owners with no income. In Kenya there are many kiosks owned by Coca Cola. The goverment cannot demolish these ones, fearing to be sued, so they remain.

This kiosk owner in Nairobi - Westlands proves to be very inventive. He just painted his blue kiosk red, and hanged some soda sign work. He's still surviving.
