Made the feature today on the Kenyan artist Bertiers. The work went very nice, but we were both shocked and distracted by the fatal helicopter accident of Dr. John Garang. The SPLM/A leader that recently was appointed the first vice president of Sudan. He struggled for 22 years to reach the comprehensive peace accord last January. Three weeks after reaching a crucial step to final peace he dies. It's incredible. Myself I used to live in Southern Sudan for long time, and as a journalist I met Dr. Garang on different occasions. The last time was here when he was signing the peace accord. Let's hope the peace process will be continued.
