One thing that I really had to get used to travelling in African countries, is the prevalence of weapons. Even in Kenya, where small arms are forbidden, not a single day goes by withouth seeing some kind of gun.
This picture was taken while on transport from Marsabit to Turbi in a police vehicle.

Many Muslim ladies in Marsabit feel quite comfortable wearing the bui bui. This lady decided to also cover the jerry cans she is carrying.
