Vlog finally [chapter 1]

Posted on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 4:36 PM

Finally presenting my first vlog.
In Singapore I bought a 3G mobile phone with excellent video capabilities.
When last week in Nairobi I returned from city center, I bumped into a large group of Somali refugees. They were afraid of being sent out of the country because of new registration regulations.
It's quite special to shoot a video news feature on a mobile phone. Remarkable was that people take you seriously, eventhough you're holding nothing more then a phone, and you're pretending to be with television. Saying that you work with the latest technology helps.

An opportunity for news.

I like the quality, if you keep in mind that it's a mobile phone. In what kind of situations will you be using your phone in stead of your camera?

Thanks,

News and others you bump into. Also situations where a big camera would attract too much attention. Furthermore in countries where there is GPRS you can upload directly to your blog or website.

Suggestions are welcome

Think it will be a bit fluffy, since PAL is 720 x 576. So it's blown up four times, but still it ads to the atmosphere.
