In a cyber now behind Orchard Road, and uploaded a video report. The speed is incredible. In Kenya where I live the fastest connection you can get is a 128k line. You have to be patient then, and forget about sending large chunks of footage. Still thinking about acquiring my own sat-modem, Inmarsat's Regional BGan. The thing is I don't know how fast it really is. On the websites they promise a 144k connection. That would be wonderful, but what do you get?
Changed my ticket yesterday, so this evening I am off to Dubai. Work proceeds from there, and if there is time left I would like to wander across the wonderful white sand beaches. Guess there is wireless, so you could connect from behind your chilled Malibu? We'll see.
Before leaving I am looking around for some extra RAM, and who knows a phone.

Singapore is one of these countries that are quite hot, but you don't notice. Everywhere you go the air-conditioning is switched on. That is in the terminal building of the airport, the taxi, the hotel, the underground, the buses, and even OUTSIDE! Imagine, sat on a terrace on Orchard Road. There they mounted big fans that blow cold condensed air over the tables and the customers. That must cost huge amounts of power. Also you really have to make sure you drink your coffee before it freezes.
