Today I try to finish the report on a jungle exploration near Meulaboh. Then off to Lamno overland to visit some post tsunami health care projects. Coming back Wednesday, and off to Singapore on Thursday for the uploads of the reports. Have a good Monday!

So, this blog is meant to offer video also.
This link is to see if it really works. If not, please comment on that.

Working on new features now, but for the testfase I am offering a goody here. It's narrated in Dutch.

'I don't like Mondays', remember? The Boomtown Rats in the Eighties, with the lyrics sang by Bob Geldof. Did he know then that twenty years on he would still be involved in development aid? At least many Africans could start to like Mondays, after the over the weekend G8 decision of waivering huge debts of 18 countries. This is finally positive news about (for) Africa, although it doesn't come from the inside. Feel sorry for Kenya (where I live) that it will not get debt relief, since they are able to pay the debts. There seems to be some kind of justice in that, the relief is for countries who cannot pay. Hope the countries will be able to use the opportunity to develop, and for that they need support of the Western world, like getting rid of this subsidised farming in the US and Europe and unjustified export quota. After all, countries who remain poor need loans again, and before you know it you have to waiver them again.
