Rhino Charge

Booked the flight to Singapore, for connecting to Banda Aceh. Have to stay one night in Singapore. Really wonder how that's going to be, after having stayed for some years in Africa.
Nairobi on Saturday morning is quiet and it's drizzling. The walking nation seems to have changed into a sleeping nation. Off to the Rhino Charge, a yearly four-wheel-drive contest. The venue is in the game park Masai Mara. The benefits of the event are used to build a fence around the Aberdare Forest. Some fifty teams, handling one vehicle ech, will contest each other. Funny that you destroy one forest, in order to save another.

You are full of shit! If you went back to the rhino charge site now there would be no trace of where the cars had been. The event makes less of an impact than a herd of eles passing through.

Anon, I agree with the spirit of your statement. There is no destruction of any forest to create another.

Ruud, for a journalist I am taken aback at your hasty and unreasearched conclusion.
